BB-IQ Blood bank Information System
BB-IQ is a smart blood bank information system specifically designed to manage and automate the operations and processes within a blood bank or a blood donation center. This software comes with the capabilities of storing and tracking comprehensive information related to blood donors, blood inventory, and transfusion activities.
A blood bank is associated with lots of operations and needs extra readiness for management. Pathology lab software can streamline the process of sample collection, gathering donor previous history from the same database, the safety and availability of blood products for transfusion, and more.
Donor Management
The process starts with donor registration that includes information donor type, personal details, contact details, medical history. All of these get associated with unique ID to the donor. This will help identifying the donor in further process. The module has examination form having list of questionnaire that should be passed by donor to get in further process. These are meant to know medical history of donor mandatory by the govt. compliance. The donor doesn’t need to register again once registered. This system allows finding donors through unique ID and mobile number. Once the blood is collected donor details become confidential. And the associated bag has unique ID for further process.
The BB-IQ BBIS automate all of this process in the single dashboard resulting increase in the efficiency of the blood bank with no errors. And it is capable of managing a large data with zero downtime and errors.
Investigation and Separation
The software supports the management of sample testing and screening procedures conducted on donated blood. It tracks test results for infectious diseases, blood typing, and compatibility testing, helping to ensure that only safe blood units are used for storage. Every investigation is monitored in the multiple stages by the technicians and pathologists.
The collected sample will be further preceded to the investigation to check whether the sample is good for further use or not. If the issue persists in the collected sample then it is immediately go for the discard process. Those samples are good to go proceeds from the separation process from the whole blood, stored and used accordingly.
Moreover, Clinic management software monitor and track record of separating process from whole blood. It has the capabilities to record separated components from whole blood through the integrated machines. Identifying the number of machines involved in the separation of blood, keeping record of blood components like Plasma, PRPC, Platelets comes in a single dashboard.
Storage and Inventory Management
The BB-IQ tracks the inventory of blood products within the blood bank, including whole blood, red blood cells, platelets, and plasma. The collected samples are associated with RFID tags that are helpful to the real time monitoring of the stored blood bags. The blood bank information system has a protected environment that continuously monitors where the blood bag is stored and once it is removed or misplaced from the associated slot it automatically notify in the software. The system prevents pilferage and theft using the RFID tags.
This system records the storage time and the expiry date on the software, so the upcoming blood bags immediately can be used without any wastage. Manually, it is almost impossible to drive this information and keep workflow alive with no efficiency. Moreover, recording of blood donations, performs inventory updates, and ensures proper storage and labeling of blood units become a lot easier.
Request & Issue Management
The receiver is registered and requirement received. The BBIS will cross-match from the inventory for the requirement. The system The BBIS assists in cross-matching blood units with patient requirements, ensuring compatibility before transfusion. It records details of transfusions and further checked by pathologists and technician. Once it is get done it issued to the patient and deducted from the inventory.
Discard Management
Any sample is found inappropriate or discarded from any step it will immediately get discarded from the system and deducted from the inventory.
